40hr Refresher
Yoga Teacher Training

This 40 hour, 200hr Refresher course is complete teacher/student contact hours, and will include but is not limited to the following: 

  • Participation in all teacher led sessions.

  • Practicing Svadhyaya by documenting observations throughout each led session

  • Participating in all group and single activities for teaching practice and exams

  • Creating an understanding of different anatomical types, and how different postural alignment in asana, can change to accommodate individual requirements for body and/or injury. 

  • Looking at different modifications & use of props, for an individual's anatomical structure, to create inclusive classes for all body types, and or injuries.

  • Creating an understanding of voice and language use within classes.

  • How to structure classes appropriately to a variety of practitioners.

  • Basic sequencing & theming for session structure. 

  • Discussion of assisting ethics within classes.

  • Teaching practice both in groups and individually

  • Main focus for two weekends will be on:

    • Asana sequencing

    • Sadhana

    • Teaching methodology & practice

    • Philosophy will briefly be touched on in terms of chakras through Asana sequencing

What a typical day can look like on your teacher training:

  • 6am - 8am - Sadhana 

  • 8am - 8.30am - Mantra/Sutra’s/Svadhyaya 

  • 8.30 - 9.30am Breakfast 

  • 9.30am - 12.30pm - Theory

  • 12.30pm - 1.30pm - Lunch 

  • 1.30pm - 3.30pm - Theory

  • 3.30pm - 5.45pm - Sadhana 

  • 6.00pm - Close 


What's Included:

  • Comprehensive 4-day training (over two weekends)

  • 2 x nutritious meals every day​

  • All yoga equipment (but feel free to bring your own mat if you'd prefer)

  • On-the-job training

  • All training manuals

  • A large notebook

  • Pen, highlighter or other study material you will use

About Tara:

Tara South has been practicing yoga for the last 20 years and teaching globally for the last 10. Tara has completed yoga qualifications in Ashtanga, Prana Flow, Vinyasa, Power, Rocket, Restorative, Hot Power, Tripsicore, Prenatal, and Yin Yoga styles. She has completed studies in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and is an accredited Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) through the Trauma Centre in Brookline, Massachusetts.

In 2011 Tara founded Mandala Yoga Meditation Retreats, Mandala YMR started out as a Yoga Shala in her hometown in Australia, and after 3 years Tara decided to create an International community for Mandala YMR to evolve and expand, in an effort to create an inclusive community, in a space that had become exclusive.

She shares her knowledge, love and devotion of yoga by running yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops & master classes around the world!

Tara delivers her sessions with lightness and a sense of humour as students are enabled to develop their practices not only in the physical asana, but also towards the more subtle aspects of the self. Her teachings remain humble and accessible for all to enjoy. As well as teaching all levels of Yoga, Tara is proof that living healthily means living happily – even a little crazily!

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be requested in writing to hello@theomspace.com.au . Cancellations requested prior to 7days outside of the event are entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations requested within 7days of the event forfeit all ticket costs, but may transfer their ticket to another name.
