Principles of Ashtanga Primary Series
Saturday February 1 // 11.30am - 2.30pm
Sunday February 2 // 10.30am - 1.30pm
Come to one or come to both!
This two day workshop will take you through the ins and outs of the Ashtanga Primary Series.
Come back to the roots of yoga, why we do what we do and how this practice has depth and meaning beyond the asana.
Learn the philosophy behind Ashtanga yoga, opening and closing mantra, correct alignment and sequencing. Brooke will break down the series and alignment of each posture for the standing, seated and closing sequence. This workshop includes lots of hands on assists and tips on how to maintain vigour and commitment to your practice.
Brooke has done training in traditional Hatha yoga, Ashtanga vinyasa yoga and an Ashtanga anatomy course. Her knowledge gained from nine months of a traditional Mysore apprenticeship has allowed Brooke to deeply study this practice and deliver it in an accessible manner for all levels of yogis. Her passion is weaving the philosophy of yoga into your practice, so that you may move beyond the asana.
