15hr Yoga Teacher Training

Assisting within a yoga class, whether as a teacher or assistant, is a delicate yet powerful tool when properly applied. Tara will show you how to perfect your assisting skills to ensure you safely and effectively use this art to elevate classes and practices.
In this module, you will learn how to do different assists and modifications, both hands on and hands off.
You will also understand how to assist and be of seva, in both a teaching and assisting role.
What to expect:

Postural verbal alignment training and physical adjustments aimed to deepen a practitioner's experience.

Building personal confidence through giving and receiving feedback to peers and group, throughout the course.

Experimenting with verbal techniques to assist, for teaching.
Prerequisites:

200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification with any organization.

Suitable for teachers with less than 5 years teaching experience, or
-
Advanced practitioners (minimum of 5 years regular, on-the-mat practice)

About Tara:
Tara South has been practicing yoga for the last 20 years and teaching globally for the last 10. Tara has completed yoga qualifications in Ashtanga, Prana Flow, Vinyasa, Power, Rocket, Restorative, Hot Power, Tripsicore, Prenatal, and Yin Yoga styles. She has completed studies in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and is an accredited Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) through the Trauma Centre in Brookline, Massachusetts.
In 2011 Tara founded Mandala Yoga Meditation Retreats, Mandala YMR started out as a Yoga Shala in her hometown in Australia, and after 3 years Tara decided to create an International community for Mandala YMR to evolve and expand, in an effort to create an inclusive community, in a space that had become exclusive.
She shares her knowledge, love and devotion of yoga by running yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops & master classes around the world!
Tara delivers her sessions with lightness and a sense of humour as students are enabled to develop their practices not only in the physical asana, but also towards the more subtle aspects of the self. Her teachings remain humble and accessible for all to enjoy. As well as teaching all levels of Yoga, Tara is proof that living healthily means living happily – even a little crazily!
