Shoulder Health in Your Yoga Practice
August 15 // 1.00 - 3.00pm
This workshop is designed to educate you on how to better care for your shoulder health to provide more longevity in your yoga practice.
You will look at the anatomy of the shoulder and how it works and investigate the small things that can harm the shoulders and create potential damage to supporting tissues.
Dr Dan will guide you with some exercises that can be done regularly to keep your shoulders strong and healthy followed by Murray and Dan showing you how to integrate that into your yoga practice.
You will then have the opportunity to integrate your new knowledge in a class designed to challenge and expand our feeling and understanding of how your shoulders can move and support you.
Saturday August 15 // 1-3pm

From Dr Dan Hodgins:
I have been a mover for most of my life and love to get outdoors. I started practicing Osteopathy 3 years ago and came from a background in personal training. My yoga practice first started when I was in my early 20's and over the years have experimented with different types of movement and sports.
Having suffered a serious shoulder injury in my late teens I struggled to continue on with activities I enjoyed, however from this came a desire to understand how I could overcome this injury through my own practice.
