Get immersed into your yoga practice!

A weekend to indulge in you and all things yoga, join me (Tara) for your Winter Weekend Yoga Immersion. Beginning Friday evening 23rd - Sunday 25th July, we will be diving deep into our yoga, meditation, pranayama practices. 

This is not a retreat, but a weekend for those who wish to dedicate time to exploring themselves on the mat and immersing into the yogic lifestyle. Although there will be opportunities for relaxation and reflection, this will be an intense weekend that will ignite your passion for yoga. 

Our home for the weekend will be the NEW upstairs Shala at The Open Mind Space.


A unique space where we can cocoon ourselves, to explore and expand through practice over the weekend.


Our welcome session on Friday will commence at 5.30pm, where we will set our intentions for the weekend ahead.


We begin with a 2.5 hour invigorating morning session on Saturday (7.30 - 10.00am), which will allow you to wake up in your body each morning.

Sunday morning will be a moving flow session (7.30 - 10.00am).


Finally, we close our weekend on Sunday afternoon (4.00 - 6.30pm) with a deeply restorative yin and meditation session. 

With a maximum of 12 practitioners, this intimate immersion is set up for us all to be completely committed to our practice, yet support each other as a community. I will be there to welcome you Friday evening, with a nourishing welcome practice, and then the weekend is ours.

  • 4 x 2.5hr Led Asana, Meditation, and Pranayama sessions with me (Tara)

    • Friday (PM) - 5.30 - 8.00pm​

    • Saturday (AM) - 7.30 - 10.00am

    • Saturday (PM) - 5.00 - 7.00pm​

    • Sunday (AM) - 7.30 - 10.00am

    • Sunday (PM) - 4.00 - 6.30pm

About Tara:

Tara South has been practicing yoga for the last 20 years and teaching globally for the last 10. Tara has completed yoga qualifications in Ashtanga, Prana Flow, Vinyasa, Power, Rocket, Restorative, Hot Power, Tripsicore, Prenatal, and Yin Yoga styles. She has completed studies in Trauma Sensitive Yoga and is an accredited Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F) through the Trauma Centre in Brookline, Massachusetts.

In 2011 Tara founded Mandala Yoga Meditation Retreats, Mandala YMR started out as a Yoga Shala in her hometown in Australia, and after 3 years Tara decided to create an International community for Mandala YMR to evolve and expand, in an effort to create an inclusive community, in a space that had become exclusive.

She shares her knowledge, love and devotion of yoga by running yoga teacher training, retreats, workshops & master classes around the world!

Tara delivers her sessions with lightness and a sense of humour as students are enabled to develop their practices not only in the physical asana, but also towards the more subtle aspects of the self. Her teachings remain humble and accessible for all to enjoy. As well as teaching all levels of Yoga, Tara is proof that living healthily means living happily – even a little crazily!

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be requested in writing to . Cancellations requested prior to 7days outside of the event are entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations requested within 7days of the event forfeit all ticket costs, but may transfer their ticket to another name.
