Living the Red Tent
Sunday March 8 // 2.00 - 4.00pm
Menstruation across time and cultures has either been a taboo and a source of seclusion or a celebration and source of retreat. In this Women’s Circle we will be exploring the space of celebration and retreat, the Red Tent. The Red Tent was a place where our ancestors at bleeding time would retreat away from the domestics of life to rest, recharge, dream, share and care for themselves and each other.
Living the Red Tent is an invitation to all woman (16+) to re-remember their ancestral knowing of living a Woman’s Rhythm. It is an offering to create space to gather, honour, share and understand our cycles and seasons. We will explore what a Woman’s Rhythm is and how to create space in our linear life for our cyclical life.
Join Sahara and the women of this circle to connect in with the rhythms of the menstrual cycle and how to cultivate self care. Please bring your journal and favourite pens, pencils or textas.
