'YOGA SCHOOL'

For the modern practitioner seeking to take Yoga off the mat and into life.

Does Yoga and spiritual practice intrigue you, but feel a bit "over there" / out of reach?

Join Jess & Marco fortnightly on Saturday mornings for 60-minute bite-sized philosophical teachings and practical lessons to further explore the branches of Yoga and its integration into a modern life.

 

Topics run on a four-week rotation, but you don't need to attend all classes:

Week 1 - Yoga Philosophy

Week 2 - Pranayama (Yogic Breath work)

Week 3 - Mantra Immersion

Week 4 - Asana Lab (pose breakdowns and progressions)

Yogalates

Are you working towards a stronger core? A sculpted body? Or a more advanced yoga practice?

 

Yogalates allows you to develop tone and strength in all the major muscle groups, enhancing your stamina and flexibility as well as improving your balance. This class is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates. You will be taken on a mindful journey where the two disciplines blend.

You will work up a sweat, gain strength quickly and learn how to connect your breath to your core. The aim is to engage and strengthen the transversus abdominis, obliques, lower back muscles, and pelvic floor during rhythmic movements. By doing so, you develop a strong, corset-like support system that will help to protect your frame from injury.

*Some of our OPEN classes are heated:

If a class states ‘heated’ on the timetable it means the room will be at approx. 28 degrees celsius for the duration. We use state-of-the-art FAR infrared heaters.  Infrared heat is different to conventional heat. It’s radiant, just like the sun. This means it heats up objects, rather than the air. That way, the air stays dry and cool, while the surrounding environment heats up. The heat emitted is absorbed deeply into your body, providing a therapeutic and detoxifying effect that helps strengthen the immune system and eliminate toxins, such as pollutants, heavy metals, and other nasty substances.
