Advanced Yoga Assists Teacher Training
โ
The Art of Assisting is an in-depth training that highlights the power of touch as a means for deep communication and connection. This training is for yoga teachers to explore the craft of hands-on assisting with confidence and integrity. In harnessing the skill of assisting yoga we enter a dynamic, non-verbal conversation with our students to guide them towards a more empowered personal practice.
Over three days, we will explore the many ways in which assisting can enrich our teaching, as well as our students’ practice.
We will delve into the importance of:
-
Energetic awareness
-
The quality of touch
-
Understanding physical limitations
-
Trauma sensitivity
-
Refinement of posture technique and alignment
-
Anatomy and physiology
-
Modifications
-
Working with props
โโ
Via the practice of intentional seeing and listening, we will learn how to read and efficiently assess different body frames and how to offer the most attuned assist to guide your students towards their fullest expression.
โ
This course will give yoga teachers the confidence to seamlessly step into the space of their students and engage in a transformative experience that lasts much longer than the touch itself.

What Previous Attendees Say
"I always recommend this assists training to any yoga teacher. It has completely elevated my confidence and my classes.
Having always appreciated receiving assists myself, I was so eager to learn more, and Jacqui’s training delivered on every level. It was not only super fun, but I left feeling genuinely confident that my assists would support and enhance my students’ practice.
It was also so special being in the presence of such great group of fellow knowledgeable teachers. Having the opportunity to learn, receive feedback, and simply be in that space for two days is always incredibly valuable.
Jacqui’s approach is effortless, yet deeply intentional and considerate.
I would honestly do this training again in a heartbeat."

"If you are wanting to have more connection with assists,
this one’s for you!
I’ve done a number of assists trainings... what I love about Jacqui’s is that it has depth and meaning.
It’s not just about adjusting or assisting for the sake of assisting - it has meaning and depth behind each assist.
If you’re just starting or been teaching for years, you’ll walk away with more than you thought you would."

"I have done numerous trainings with Jac over the years... she’s amazingly knowledgeable in the science, energetics and physicality of yoga, but really it’s her way of holding space for every single person in the room that makes her trainings transformative.
Assists were extremely triggering for me when I first started my journey. Jac was aware of this and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout. This is why I hold deep reverence for the way she teaches. She has a trauma-informed background and not only teaches from a theoretical perspective but (much more importantly) from a deeply human space of lived experience, understanding and encouragement.
Would recommend to any yoga teachers. Whether you’ve been teaching for years or just starting out, you’ll definitely benefit from this training!"
